DESCENTRALIZADA
Editorial Design, 2022

A publication developed as a field for graphic and typographic exploration, combining illustrations and visual elements that interpret the author’s intentions across chapter openings. The design process was shaped through close collaboration between writer and designer. The final chapter introduces a distinct layout with gray pages and directional lines, while the careful use of blue Pantone reinforces its visual identity as a print-oriented book.

A classic textbook that reflects an interconnected, interdependent, and fragmented world—an ideal ground for exploration and typographic experimentation. This project focuses on a set of graphics and illustrations carefully developed to interpret and enhance the author’s intentions for each chapter opening. It was a particularly engaging process, shaped by ongoing dialogue, comments, and reflections between writer and designer throughout the review stages.

In the fourth and final chapter (cases), we introduced a distinct graphic layout—an opportunity to expand the visual language and typographic treatment through gray-toned pages and arrow lines guiding paragraph navigation. The book also features a precise and intentional use of a blue Pantone color, reinforcing a key visual element of Pande Company. Above all, this is a publication conceived primarily for print.
